August 2008 startete "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (3D) in den deutschen Kinos...

[24.04.2009] Bei Destructoid gibt es Gerüchte zu dem Videospiel "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes", welches von den Krome Studios für PS3 und Xbox 360 entwickelt wird...
[...] Details on the game is scarce, but we're told Republic Heroes will feature a two-player cooperative mode, with both "Jedi" and "Clone" story missions. Players are said to play as Anakin Skywalker or Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano in a Jedi mode, and (at the very least) bounty hunter Cad Bane in the Clone missions. The game will have a focus on melee combat, complete with upgrades that can be purchased throughout the game. The ability to control droids, such as the rolling Droideka, was also mentioned by our tipster.
Krome Studios has experience with the Star Wars license, having previously worked on the Wii/PlayStation Portable/PlayStation 2 ports of Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed. More recently, the studio released Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Light Saber Duels for the Wii. Their next-gen action game pedigree includes Hellboy: Science of Evil for PS3 and Xbox 360 for Konami. [10.02.2009] CS! meldet...
Cartoon Network announced today that it has picked-up a second season of the hit CG-animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," from creator George Lucas and Lucasfilm Animation. Slated to premiere in the fall of 2009, the second season will continue to take audiences on new and exciting adventures, combining the legendary storytelling of Lucasfilm with innovative animation. The season one finale of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" airs on Cartoon Network Friday, March 20 at 9 pm ET/PT.
"'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' is like nothing else on television and has delivered for us on all levels," said Stuart Snyder, President/COO Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media. "It has helped us launch a great new night of action-adventure on Fridays and build on our dominance with boys. We look forward to continuing what has been a great relationship with George and everyone at Lucasfilm."
"We're trying to push the envelope even further in the second season," said George Lucas. "In the features, I focused on telling the story of the Skywalker family. With The Clone Wars I'm exploring far beyond that and we barely scratched the surface in the first season. It's exciting to be able to take people to all these new places in the Star Wars galaxy."
The October 3, 2008 premiere of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" scored as the most-watched series debut in Cartoon Network history, according to Nielsen Media Research. Since its premiere, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (Friday 9 p.m.) has ranked #1 in its time period on all television, broadcast and ad-supported cable with boys 2-11, boys 6-11, and tween boys 9-14 through January 2009.
"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" showcases an entirely new look and feel to the galaxy far, far away, combining the expansive scope of the Star Wars saga with state-of-the-art computer-generated animation. Each week, viewers see a thrilling, 30-minute "mini-movie" created by the talented artists at Lucasfilm Animation.

[05.12.2008] CS! sprach mit George Lucas...
CS: [...] A while back when we spoke you were planning to take the six "Star Wars" films and put them into a 3D format. Is that still something you're working towards?
Lucas:
Oh yeah. The technology is very difficult. It exists - it's just extremely expensive, and so what we're trying to do is figure out a more practical way of pulling it off. [...]

[04.11.2008] IESB berichtet über den US-Serienstart von "Star Wars: The Clone Wars"...
R2-D2 is lost during a fierce space battle, and Anakin must find him before the Separatists discover the Jedi military secrets locked in his memory banks, in "Downfall of a Droid," an all-new episode of the hit animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT Friday, Nov. 7, on Cartoon Network. [...]

Haden Blackman, the project leader on "The Force Unleashed" video game, has a daydream: He strolls into the movie theater, buys some popcorn and then sits down and watches his game's tale of Darth Vader and his secret apprentice flicker to life as cinema.
"Oh, that would be incredible," said Blackman. "And it's not impossible. Never say never. George [Lucas] has looked to tell new 'Star Wars' stories through the games and with the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe, and then he has also shown a willingness to let the characters come into the films. Look at Aayla Secura, a creation in the [Dark Horse] comic books who became part of the theatrical films." [...]

[04.10.2008] Bei AICN gibt es einen Überblick über die Kritiken zur animierten TV-Serie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars"...

[16.09.2008] Quint von AICN sprach mit Sam Witwer aka Darth Vader's Schüler im Videospiel "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed"...
[...] the thing that I think I love about it is that there are certain things that are revealed that some people might take as "Oh, this is a big shocking revelation in the story" and other people might take it as "No, this is a big lie" and I don’t think there’s a right answer. There are certain things that happen where I don’t think anyone really knows what really happened and that’s I think the brilliance of what Haden did, that there’s so much in this story that it’s like he’s not telling you. He’s not explaining it to you, he’s not telling you what actually did go down and he’s giving you enough to come up with your own opinion and feel satisfied with that, but he’s not giving you anymore than that. He’s not leaving you unsatisfied, but he’s not spelling it out for you. [...]

[03.09.2008] IESB berichtet über den US-Serienstart von "Star Wars: The Clone Wars"...
An All-New Star Wars Adventure Comes to Television Every Friday Night Available on Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network HD.
STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, the first weekly television series from Lucasfilm Animation, premieres on Cartoon Network Friday, October 3 at 9 p.m. (ET, PT) with a special one-hour presentation that anchors the Network's all-new night of fantasy, action and adventure. New series The Secret Saturdays and the current hit Ben 10: Alien Force join STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS for a night of non-stop adventure, exciting storytelling and innovative animation.
In the signature style of Lucasfilm Animation, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS chronicles the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and other favorite STAR WARS characters as they struggle against the dark side during the divisive, action-packed Clone Wars. Each week, a new story in the galaxy-changing Clone Wars comes to center stage, brought to the screen by supervising director Dave Filoni and executive producer George Lucas.
Dwindling numbers of Jedi fight to maintain freedom and restore peace to the galaxy, using their army of genetically engineered clones against the seemingly never-ending droid army. The terrible conflict grows wider as our heroes are swept into the turmoil of war, while the evil Count Dooku, his assassin Asajj Ventress, their master Darth Sidious, the mechanical General Grievous and a rogue's gallery of never-before-seen villains scheme to defeat them. [...]

[18.08.2008] CS! berichtet über die US-Kinocharts...
[...] Although The Dark Knight dropped to second place with $16.8 million this weekend, it remained just ahead of George Lucas' latest Jedi adventure, the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Warner Bros.), which opened in over 3,400 theaters (more than Tropic Thunder) but delivered a disappointing $15.5 million, an average of $4,500 per site. The poor showing might be blamed on the mostly negative reviews and feelings among the fanbase that it's essentially a television cartoon that didn't necessarily need to be seen in theaters. [...]
