Transformers "Transformers: The Movie" ist eine Live-Action-Verfilmung unter der Regie von Michael Bay (u.a. "The Island", "Pearl Harbor", "Bad Boys")...

1986 kam der Zeichentrickfilm "The Transformers - The Movie" in die US-Kinos...

[07.11.2008] TFW 2005 meldet... SPOILER !!!
The TFW TF2 Insider has confirmed that the character of Alice, as played by Isabel Lucas, in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a Pretender. For those not familiar with Transformers sublines from the 1980s, Pretenders are Transformers that are hidden inside a shell that acts as their disguise. In the case of Alice, the shell will be an attractive human woman while the inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle.

[18.09.2008] Bei Walmart.com gibt es ein neues offizielles Setvideo, dazu muss man den folgenden Code eingeben: AllSpark62609 !!! Und IESB sprach mit Alex Kurtzman und Roberto Orci...
IESB: [...] On Transformers it's a bit different on the writing process because you've got Ehren [Kruger] working as well. How did that work out for you guys?
Bob: We couldn't have done it without Ehren. It would have literally been impossible because we were producing Eagle Eye...
Alex: And with the strike, it really ran out the clock so when the strike ended, we had four months to get a shooting draft together. And so the three of us locked ourselves into a hotel, or I should say, Michael Bay locked us in a hotel...
Bob: Posted a guard outside the door, they slid food under, we got to talk to our wives every couple of days...(laughter)
Alex: We would work in one room, Ehren in another room and then we'd get together twice a day and trade pages and go over each other's stuff. It was actually great, it was a lot of fun and having him come in with a fresh perspective and not having had any of the baggage we had from the first movie was key to making the second one it's own movie, distinct from the first one.
Bob: And Ehren's the greatest too because he's equal parts fan boy and grown-up and I think he is able to get the best of both perspectives and so it was just a very fun team and it felt, we worked together on a movie he had written for us as producers, but this was the first time to really sit down and write together and I think it was the easiest transition I can imagine. [...]
IESB: Real quickly on Transformers, it looks like it's definite that the Constructicons and Devastator are in, Soundwave is in, can you give us any hints, any clues of what else we are going to see?
Bob: You are going to find out a lot about the mythology. It's officially going to tell you what the Transformers history is and I think a lot of it is going to be taken, somewhat, from gospel. I think we all settled on the fact that the source material and the myth that established in much of the Transformers back story was perfect for this movie. And that should be satisfying to genuine fans.
IESB: One of the things that we got teased about, and that I loved, was looking at Cybertron. Are we going to actually see it this time? Are we getting the same - explain it in the beginning of the movie and then back to Earth?
Alex: I think in the spirit of what we gave you in the first movie, there will be similar things in this movie.
Bob: Meaning, "no comment." (laughter) [...]

[27.08.2008] DH meldet...
"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" co-screenwriter Roberto Orci has talked with TFW2005 about how the film's production is going and what to expect in the sequel.
One promising remark - "The first movie is all about the mystery and reveal of the Transformers as a concept and a species, which means we had to hide them a lot in the first hour. In the second movie, now that everyone believes in the universe, we can jump right into the world of the Transformers. The first movie was meant to be somewhat of a mystery. For the sequel, we need an entirely different structure and paradigm for the movie, and we can't rely on it being the first."
There's also a more comedic bent - "We were emulating the style of movie from the old Amblin days, like Back to the Future and Gremlins. Also, comedy makes things more accessible to a larger audience." A theme of the film is the responsibilities you face when being away from home. [...]

[20.08.2008] MoviesOnline sprach mit Tyrese Gibson...
[...] we're doing Transformers 2 right now and it's just crazier. It's more angry. It's bigger explosions, more robots and Michael Bay is just in rare form right now.
MoviesOnline: What do you mean more angry?
TYRESE: It's just more angry. More angry meaning the conflict between the robots and the humans. The stakes have been brought up to a whole nother level like the conflicts between the humans and the Decepticons. And then the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons. Just more angry.
MoviesOnline: Have they shown you Devestator and the Constructicons?
TYRESE: I can't speak on that. You're trying to get me to leak some information. That was nice though. He set that up nicely. Woo, he was so confident with his whole... but I ain't, no, no, no.
MoviesOnline: We know there's bigger robots.
TYRESE: It's just more robots. I'm not saying bigger. [...]
MoviesOnline: Do you get your own robot?
TYRESE: I can't say, man. I can just say this, that Michael Bay is definitely giving Epps a lot of love in this one. So it's going to be special. I've been interacting with robots. Most of the conversations between robots was with Shia's character and the robots and we kind of stayed away from talking to them. So I've had a few conversations with some robots. It's real interesting.
MoviesOnline: Are you back to shooting?
TYRESE: Oh, we're rolling. I just did a night shoot. That's why I was kind of tired yesterday because we shot until about 6:30 in the morning. So we're doing the night thing right now and then we're going back to Alamagorda, White Sands to do some more of that rock star stuff out there. It's like the stakes are just 1000 percent higher, just crazy.
MoviesOnline: How much longer?
TYRESE: We've got about two and a half more months of shooting. We've got to go overseas. It's full throttle.
MoviesOnline: Where?
TYRESE: I'm hearing Jordan. A few other locations.
MoviesOnline: Where is Epps two years later?
TYRESE: I am at the top of my class. I am the highest ranking officer of my class, which I can't say, but I'm sure you all can pull that up on the internet. As far as my world, I am the highest ranking. It's crazy, while we're on these military bases, people are walking up to me that are in the military like, "Oh, I mean, man, sir. Man, you're like the top." So it's exciting.
MoviesOnline: Has Michael changed?
TYRESE: Oh man, he's definitely changed. He's definitely excited. At the end of the day, this is the sequel of the most successful film he's ever directed. If that don't create anticipation then I don't know what will. It's like at the end of the day, to have a film that is also Oscar nominated for the special effects and all these other things. [...]

[15.08.2008] CS! meldet...
Both Entertainment Tonight and Film School Rejects are reporting that Shia LaBeouf is returning to the set of Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Thursday.
Shia and his passenger/co-star Isabel Lucas were hit in the early morning hours of July 27 by another driver who had run a red light in Los Angeles. LaBeouf underwent surgery on his hand to repair damage caused by the accident. Reports in late July said that it would take a month before LaBeouf would be back on set, but that appears not to be the case. [...]

[12.08.2008] Bei Jalopnik.com gibt es erste Bilder der neuen Corvette, die im Sequel Verwendung findet... Und TFW2005.com berichtete kürzlich über eine Drehplanänderung...
The 1st unit involved in production of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is on a 4 week hiatus due to Shia LaBeouf's hand injury. The second unit, (the team that shoots footage which is of lesser importance for the final motion picture, as opposed to the first unit, which shoots all scenes involving actors, or at least the stars of the film) is still filming. Second unit footage typically includes shots like scenery, close-ups of objects and other inserts or cutaways. There is currently no indication that this delay will affect the release of the film.

[31.07.2008] MTV.com sprach mit Tyrese Gibson...
[...] A Paramount spokesperson had no comment when MTV News asked how long filming could be delayed due to LaBeouf's accident.
LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and released. A statement from his spokesperson indicated he had plans to return to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" within the month.
As for what we can expect out of the highly anticipated sequel, Gibson said he's most looking forward to, well, more of himself.
"Go on the Internet - a lot of the fans out there were like, we want to see more of my presence in the film, and the studio and Michael Bay heard that, so Michael's been putting the camera on me a lot more Epps in that film," he revealed. [...]
"There's way more robots, way more craziness. Once again, you are going to see some things that are Oscar-worthy as far as special effects," he said, smiling. [...]

[30.07.2008] MTV.com meldet...
[...] IDW Publishing [..] has announced a five-part prequel miniseries entitled "Transformers: Destiny" that’s set to bridge the gap between the 2007 blockbuster and its Summer ‘09 sequel. And if it’s any indication, "Transformers 2" is going to be one interesting ride.
"[We're going to] explore the background of The Fallen - the main villain of the movie - as well as expand on the ‘Reign of Starscream’ story that we’re doing and tie everything in to what this next movie is going to be," explained writer Chris Mowry, who partners on the book with artist Alex Milne. "The next movie starts out with just tons of action and there’s obviously going to be a lot of questions, so we’re hoping to answer some of those beforehand." [...]

[15.07.2008] EW.com sprach mit Michael Bay...
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: [...] What can you tell us about Transformers 2? Or, better yet, what will you tell us?
MICHAEL BAY:
When we were writing the script, I said to the writers, "I hate sequels that try to make it to the third movie. Pretend like we’re never having a third movie, so let’s go for broke on the second one. I hate those cliffhangers! Let’s just make this movie stand on its own." I really feel this movie is not a forced sequel. I think the script is really good, and I think it’s got a lot of new stuff in it. There are a lot of rumors out there, but we’ve released a lot of fake stuff. We’ve done a really good job of keeping things secret.
Can you give us a hint of something that is true then?
[Laughs] No.
C'mon, anything?
There are some great, new robots that are really inventive. [...]
