"The Fast and the Furious" (2001) ist ein Film für alle Freunde von qualmenden Reifen... Inszeniert von Rob Cohen (u.a. "XXX")...
"Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning").
Teil "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" startete am 13. Juli 2006 in den deutschen Kinos... Der Aussenseiter Sean Boswell (Lucas Black, u.a.

Latino Review sprach mit Vin Diesel... [...] Paul (Walker) mentioned you had ideas about a Fast and Furious 5, about how it could go to Europe. Are you already thinking, after this opens, that...
Vin: Yes. Yes. I think a few pictures at a time ahead. I try to work out stories in the way I approach sequels. In that, Coppola way. I try to think out the story, even before we go to shoot the film that's at hand. So yes, I have been thinking about it. I actually brought up the idea of shooting both of the movies back to back to the President of Universal. He was like, "What? We're just getting our feet back together." [...]

CS! meldet... Vin Diesel, who stars in next Friday's Babylon A.D., told ComingSoon.net today that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to Fast and Furious, the fourth installment in the Universal Pictures franchise.
Diesel will star in the prequel along with Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Letty and Sung Kang returning as Han. Diesel didn't say how the prequel would premiere; it could be on a DVD, online, TV, etc.
The fourth movie is a sequel to the first installment, and though Diesel didn't elaborate, we assume this 20-minute prequel will tie-in some of the events from the second and third movies. Rodriguez appeared in the first movie, Sung Kang in the third, and Diesel in the first with a brief cameo in the third.
In the Justin Lin-directed Fast and Furious, opening June 5, 2009, fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him.

[...] Gadot, who was named Miss Israel 2004, auditioned for the latest James Bond film a few months ago. Although she did not land the role, the international casting director was impressed enough with her to recommend her to "Fast and Furious 4" producers, who contacted the Look Modeling Agency and asked that Gadot be flown in immediately for an on-camera audition. Two weeks ago Gadot was called back to audition opposite Vin Diesel. [...]

Moviehole berichtet über die wiederkehrenden Charaktere in "The Fast and the Furious 4" und enthüllt ein paar Details zur Story... Vorsicht SPOILER !!! [...] I did get wind today that Jordana Brewster is in talks to reprise her role as Mia, Dominic’s (Vin Diesel) sister in ‘’The Fast and the Furious 4’’.
The character of Mia would be the third cast member from Rob Cohen’s original to join the cast of the Justin Lin-directed sequel. And as far as I can tell, she’d be the last of them.
Where’s Michelle Rodriguez’s character you ask? Well, that’s getting into spoiler territory. [...]

HollywoodReporter.com meldet... [...] Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are in negotiations to reunite for the fourth installment of Universal's "Fast and the Furious" franchise. Justin Lin and Chris Morgan, who were behind "Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," are returning to directing and writing duties, respectively.
Neal Moritz will produce the as-yet-untitled installment along with Diesel, who will produce through his One Race Films banner.
The story line is being kept under wraps, but fast cars are involved. A spring start is anticipated with shooting in Los Angeles, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
The first "Furious," released in 2001, was a surprise hit, grossing more than $144 million and creating a franchise for the studio while making stars our of Diesel and Walker. Only Walker returned for the sequel, "2 Fast 2 Furious," and sat out the third installment, 2005's "Tokyo Drift." That movie had relative newcomer Lucas Black in the driver's seat but did feature Diesel in a cameo at the end of the movie. His appearance was so well received that it was even mentioned in ads.
