Der Schauspieler Robert Wagner möchte am Gewinn der "3 Engel für Charlie "-Spielfilme beteiligt werden, wie "Variety" berichtet. Deshalb hat er Klage gegen Columbia Pictures und deren Mutterfirma Sony Pictures eingereicht. Wagners Ansicht nach stehen ihm 50 Prozent des Gewinns zu. Als Begründung führt Wagner einen Vertrag von 1973 an, den er und seine verstorbenen Frau Natalie Wood mit Spelling-Goldberg-Productions abgeschlossen hatten. Demnach hatten Wood und Wagner die Idee zu "Charlie's Angels" und damit das Recht auf eine Gewinnbeteiligung. Spelling-Goldberg wurde 1982 von Columbia gekauft. Das Schauspielerpaar hat zwar Erlöse von der ABC-Serie bekommen, profitierte bislang jedoch nicht von den sensationellen Einspielergebnissen der beiden Engel-Kinoabenteuer.
